About
Alder & Oak Botanical School was born from a love of the natural world. What began as a dream to share our knowledge about plants and their ecosystems has grown into a community of teachers and students learning and exploring together. Our courses weave the wisdom of herbalism, permaculture, and traditional practices into online learning experiences that help root us more deeply in connection with the earth.

Yves
For over 20 years, Yves has been living off-road and off-grid, regenerating a degraded piece of remote Ecuadorian mountainside. Through that time, he’s acquired a lot of experience in Permaculture & Regenerative Design processes, and gained an enormous appreciation for how important it is to understand and mimick natural systems such as ecological succession.
Today, he dedicates most of his time to nurturing his family and the Sacred Sueños Refuge, as well as offering consultations on homesteading, productive re-wilding, and Permaculture.
